Dr. Zak is a 1995 UGA graduate living in the Hamilton Mill community. She shares her home with her 2 sons, Briggs and Brandon; as well as her 3 dogs, Maggie & Murray (Parti Standard Poodles) and Taco (Chihuahua). In her spare time, she can be found barking at the Dawgs in Athens or on the tennis courts. She is also a proud supporter of Mill Creek Athletics, as her sons play lacrosse and soccer.
Melissa began working in the veterinary field during high school and is one of the technicians who helped open the clinic with Dr. Zak. She lives in Dacula with her husband Cecil and their son, Jeremy. They have 3 dogs, Jacoby, Jaxon, and Boston, as well as 2 cats, Jet and Josey. She is passionate about the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox!
Jeremy has been volunteering at various Animal Hospitals since he was very little. He has always loved animals and now works as a Veterinary Assistant here at Hamilton Plaza with his mother, Melissa. He attended Mtn. View High School and is entering his Sophmore year at Ga. Southern University studying Business and Construction Management. Jeremy is also a proud member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Heather has been in the veterinary field since she was 15 years old. She worked her way up from a kennel assistant to a Veterinary Technician. Her passion for animals goes beyond the clinic, as she is involved with pet therapy. Heather and her husband Josh live in Hoschton and share their home with Lexxi and Titan, who are Pitbull mixes, and their cats, Vanna and Rawhide. When Heather isn’t at the clinic, she loves to be outdoors and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers!
Dee is one of our groomers and has been grooming for over 20 years. She loves the relationship she has with her grooming clients and their pets. Dee is originally from Florida but now lives locally with her son, Jace. They have a cat named Cappuccino and a hamster. In her spare time, Dee enjoys going to estate sales and spending time with her son.
Krysti started in the veterinary field over 20yrs ago; working as kennel manager in high school, progressing to technician for 10 years and finally settling in her favorite position as front desk receptionist as it allows her to interact with clients and their pets. She still loves the opportunity to help when needed in the back though! Krysti lives in Gainesville with her boyfriend and a pack of dogs and cats. When not at the hospital she can be found at a local animal emergency clinic or at the dog shows where she participates with her French Briards; Arya, Mirabella and Raven.
Briggs has officially worked for Hamilton Plaza for the last year as a kennel assistant. He is currently a junior at Mill Creek High School where he excels in academics and on the lacrosse field. In his free time he enjoys lacrosse, fishing, and boating with his friends.
