Dental Discharge Instructions
*Please keep indoors or closely confined for the next 4-6 hours. Please watch pet around stairs and/or jumping up and down off furniture. Your pet may be whiny, pacing, and restless due to the anesthesia.
*Please wait to feed your pet for the next 4-6 hours, as the anesthesia wears off. Some pets do not eat the night of the procedure. You can offer a small amount of water.
*Medication has been dispensed for your pet. Please give this medication to your pet according to label instructions.
*If we have performed any extractions today you may see your pawing at their mouth, blood tinged saliva, and sutures where the tooth or teeth were extracted. Sutures, if done, will dissolve.
*We have sent home a CET dental chew for your pet to try. These are available here if you would like to continue to use them.
*We will call to check on your pet the day following the dental, but don’t hesitate to call if any issues present at home.
